Shin Splints

After 20 Saturday, left shin, ran today anyway, it's worse. Rest tomorrow :( Will try to pick it up later in the week.

I'm bummed.

Ouch. Found these two remedies on the internet:

1. Find an open doorway. Put the toes of one foot on the wall next to the door jam, and the heel of the same foot on the ground close to the wall. With the opposite hand, hold onto the other side of the door jam. Lift the other leg off of the ground, and use your arm to pull your body as close to the wall as you can.

Adjust the angles as needed of your foot and body. The basic idea is to put your body weight on top of one heel, with the toe of that foot as near to vertical is possible. This strecthes out your calf muscles as much as possible, and imposses the maximum force you could ever excert on the area.

2. Tap your toes while seated.
